Hi! My name is Erin Marie Nelson. Outside of being a dog trainer, I am a wife and a mother to two amazing human girls, some wonderful canines as well as a couple of precious felines too. I am the owner and sole trainer of E-DOT LLC. I got my first dog when I was 9 years old and she was beautifully trained with tricks, off-leash heeling, a solid recall, and more. I was that nine-year old that asked for a dog and actually took care of it and spent time training her.
When I got my next dog (Nala,) I sought out professional trainers and fell in love with taking and being part of classes. I started being an instructor a short time after and I haven’t looked back. Each year I take classes, study, and learn new ways to help owners and their dogs succeed. I believe we can always grow in our knowledge of how to continually help dogs and their humans.
Once my husband and I moved to our forever home in Rush, NY, we knew what the run-down horse barn was meant to become. E-DOT LLC.

I love helping people bond and understand their dogs more. With each dog, I have learned new ways to positively train the desired behaviors. I love helping people bond and understand their dogs more. Each dog (and owner) is different and unique in their own way, so, as owners, we must sometimes adjust the way we train to achieve the desired results. Through E-DOT I am able to implement different training ideas to the individual owner and dog through small group classes as well as private lessons.
Dogs are more than just pets to me. They are part of my family, always offering their loyalty, friendship, protection, and unconditional love. Dogs give so much and ask for so little in return. I love the ability to create harmony in family homes with positive reinforcement through the use of praise, food, and toys.
It is our duty to try and figure out how to love, encourage, discipline, and lead them in a way that works for each individual one.
